Brittnie and Andres, a couple from the United States, where Andres himself is a professional photographer, reached out to me with an enticing proposal for their 10th-anniversary photoshoot. They envisioned a 'gothic wedding/formal photoshoot' and expressed a particular hope for some unique weather conditions. Intrigued and eager to capture something extraordinary, I was all in.
Their session was scheduled for late November, a time when Prague is usually free from the throngs of tourists, and the weather can be quite unpredictable—offering fog, sleet, rain, or even snow. On the day of the shoot, instead of the anticipated fog, we were greeted with a relentless downpour. But when you have an adventurous couple who embrace the idea of getting wet for the sake of art, it's an invitation to create something truly memorable.
Brittnie and Andres were up for the challenge. We not only captured the formal, posed images they desired but also seized the moment for more spontaneous, joyful shots. There, atop the historic Charles Bridge, in the midst of a rain-soaked night, we had the entire place to ourselves, if only for a fleeting moment. They danced, laughed, and embraced the gothic atmosphere, turning the bridge into their private stage.
