A Vrtba Garden Wedding & Celebration at Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa, Prague

I first encountered Katie and Michael a year before their wedding during one of their many visits to Prague. It was clear from the outset that they were orchestrating a spectacular celebration for their guests, who would travel from all corners of the globe. Their enthusiasm for every detail was infectious; as they shared their vision, their smiles grew, radiating their joy and anticipation. You could tell this wedding was destined to be both beautiful and uniquely fun.

To my surprise, Katie expressed a desire to keep the bridal preparations private due to her shyness. She preferred the camera's focus be on capturing the essence of family and friends during the evening. However, she did express a wish for a few solo portraits, "only if there was time." Michael emphasized their desire for a wedding reportage - authentic, unscripted moments that genuinely reflected the feelings and events of the day. Their vision was set: no staged shots, just the raw beauty of their love story unfolding.

The chosen venue was the enchanting Vrtba Garden, a true gem in Prague. The evening's festivities were to unfold at the Alchymist Grand Hotel, a place I've always admired for its intimate and elegant ballroom. They had planned a picturesque walk through the Royal Gardens of Prague Castle, culminating in a special gathering on the Charles Bridge, orchestrated by both mothers.

Among the myriad of captured moments, some of the most cherished - both by me and the couple - were the simple, serene walks they took around Prague, just the two of them, on their wedding day.

The evening's highlight was undoubtedly the dance and party, where close family and friends mingled, danced, and celebrated. While I could elaborate in words, I believe the images I captured tell this story far more vividly, encapsulating the joy, love, and magic of their day.
