Sometimes everything just comes together and when it does – you just have to smile and enjoy the moment. When I met the radiant and beaming Leslie & her very handsome fiancée Anthony, I knew we would end up having a wonderful day and without the rain that was threatening to come down.

As they traveled from New York City (Brooklyn) to have their wedding in Prague (and as a fellow American) I really wanted to showcase the enchanted beauty of this city. Obviously there is Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge and of course the stunning architecture, but sometimes you want to escape the crowds of onlookers who also want their photographs of such a gorgeous couple and of course the many well wishers. So with my assistant, myself and a full video crew, we decided to head off for more intimate places so that these two could simply enjoy their first moments as husband and wife…

Our detour led to Vrtbovska Zahrada where the peaceful view of the city and of Prague Castle dominating the skyline would occasionally be broken by the sounds of the distant trams down below. The garden itself is simply stunning but when used as a backdrop for the Leslie & Anthony it seemed to pale in comparison. Later we head out and took in some more sites along the river as many happy snappers took photos of them as they walked around hand in hand.

Though times tends to go by quickly, in fact too quickly when you are having fun, what remains of that wonderful day: beautiful, striking & elegant images that capture not only what it looked like to be with them on their wedding day, but hopefully a small measure of what it felt like to be there with them too.
To Leslie & Anthony, it was a real pleasure getting to know you as well as sharing in this truly special day. I wish both of you much love, happiness and success in your new lives together as husband and wife!

A fabulous portrait session with Shirley & Thomas (Macau) in Cesky Krumlov

The weather, the location in the Czech countryside and of course two very lovely people always combine for a wonderful session. But what I like about Shirley & Thomas is how much fun they are to be around when exploring the old medieval town center. Of course no matter where we went people would stop (if they weren’t also taking pictures) to wish them all the best as they happily strode around to peak around the next corner to see what architectural gems awaited.

But after an afternoon of leisurely walking around and exploring this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site creating portraits and capturing moments it was time to say adieu and head back to home.

To Shirley & Thomas, it was a real pleasure getting to know you both as well as spending the afternoon with you in Cesky Krumlov. I wish both of you much love, happiness and success in your new lives’ together as husband and wife.

Prague weddings: Polina & Josh wedding day photography!

An awesome couple deserves awesome wedding photography – especially when they come in from America & Russia…

Polina & Josh simply fell in love with Prague when they visited here during the cold winter months. So when it came time to have their dream destination wedding they could have gone anywhere in Europe, but instead chose Prague’s historic Old Town Hall on a glorious summer day. As Josh is a proud member of the US Navy it was my duty as a military ‘brat’ to create something truly special for them – after all my mother would not have allowed it any other way.

So after their wedding at the Old Town Hall and some family portraits we headed off for several hours to capture this stunning couple enjoying their wedding day amidst the historic cobblestone streets of Prague.

Naturally wherever they went they were the center of attention as Polina was simply the most beautiful bride in Prague and lots of people and aspiring wedding photographers were following us around taking snaps.

Later that nite Josh had one more surprise for his lovely bride as he stepped out in his Navy whites and then later swept her off her feet for a kiss under the twinkling stars atop Prague’s historic Charles Bridge. A dream ending to a dream day and who could ask for anything better than that!

To Polina & Josh, you guys rock! Being a part of your wedding day was simply brilliant and I hope the two of you and your wonderful families get a lifetime of enjoyment out of these new family heirlooms. I wish both of you much love, happiness and success in your new live’s together as husband & wife.

Congratulations to a truly wonderful couple Laura & Donal who wedded at the lovely St. Oliver Plunkett Church in Kilcloon and later had their reception at the Carton House in Maynooth.

Sometimes it is best to let the pictures speak for themselves, especially as there were so many wonderful moments during their unforgettable wedding day. Though I must add Laura looked absolutely stunning as she made her entrance to the church to the patiently waiting Donal proudly escorted by her beaming father. In fact there were so many wonderful moments – I really should stop and simply let the images speak for themselves.

To Laura & Donal – You two are such a tremendous couple, I am honored to have been a part of your wonderful wedding day. I wish both of you much love, happiness and future success together as husband and wife! From The Blog: Wendy & Nick -Vrtbovska Garden Elopement

Vrtbovska Garden wedding / Wendy & Nicholas / elopement wedding

Wendy & Nicholas traveled over from the US to have their destination wedding elopement at one of Prague’s most beautiful Gardens: Vrtbovksa Zahrada.

Nicholas, was already waiting patiently downstairs when I met up with Wendy during her preparations at the Aria Hotel – as her suite overlooked the garden she could sneak a peak to see how Nicholas was getting on during this sweltering hot summer day.

A few last minute touch ups and it was time to head downstairs for the start of their very intimate ceremony – and a few minutes later it was official. Introducing Mr. & Mrs Schmidt. After a few drinks we headed up to the very top of the garden for the stunning views and especially as one of Europe’s most beautiful castles overlooked us. Later we went to the Old Town Square for a horse and carriage ride followed by a dinner at the Hotel U Prince’s rooftop terrace.

With their cool and very fun laid back demeanor and the fact that they were midwesterners like myself I proposed an idea for one of the last portrait locations – the beach near the Charles Bridge. They were game and with one of my favorite lighting technicians we created a truly stunning series of portraits – a few of them captured here.

To say that they were wonderful to be around is really an understatement.

lifestyle portraits Rome: Jana & Jeff portrait session in Roma!

When you have just surpassed 10-years together as husband and wife what better way to celebrate your marriage than having a romantic, evening portrait session in Rome, Italy?

Rome is such an amazing city and of course there are many places you can chose but we left it up to Jana & Jeff as they know Rome intimately and only wanted to visit places that have a special place in their heart. Luckily for us it was one of those stunning weekends where the weather was not too hot and the crowds were not as insane as they normally are.

Our session started with a truly spectacular sunset overlooking Rome from Monteverde. The sky just magically flared and luckily for us we were there at just the right time. Afterwards we headed down to the stunning Castle San Angelo (which is pictured above) where one of my favorite pictures taken of the two of them was captured.

Rome truly is an incredibly picturesque city and especially at night where she really comes alive and to be able to photograph two wonderful and loving people such as Jeff and Jana was an experience I will not forget. Of course creating a stunning image such as the two of them in front of the Pantheon will be an image I will always look back on proudly as the magic of that night was captured in that single frame…

But like all wonderful evenings it must eventually come to an end, and what better way to end their session than to visit Trevi Fountain. No matter what time of day or evening Trevi Fountain is a place where all lovers in Rome must come to and the promise of Trevi is – you will eventually come back! And therein lies the magic of Rome, such an incredible city you will always want to come back and relive those special memories of a beautiful, romantic evening in Rome!

To Jana & Jeff, congratulations! You two are not only two wonderful people, but parents and friends and those of us who know you are richer for it. I hope the two of you receive a lifetime of enjoyment out of these beautiful images captured on your behalf! Wishing you both continued happiness, success and much love in your lives together!
