Tabor Wedding / Aurore (FR) & Adrien (CZ) wedding photography

Aurore & Adrien are two very likable and down to earth people and you just knew that they were planning a very special and fun wedding for their families & friends who were traveling in from around the world. As Adrien’s family has roots in Tabor this picturesque little town south of Prague was chosen for their wedding location. The ceremony was held at the very old Hussite Museum that overlooks the peaceful ancient town square.

Everything about this wedding was wonderful: from the wonderfully decorated ceremonial hall, to Adrien surprising Aurore with a serenade, to the vivacious dancing and singing his father and friends put on, to all of the guests (young and old) and staff who were tearing it up on the dance floor and the wonderful music and food. The only way to describe this wonderful outpouring of joy and spontaneity during this unforgettable summer evening is: brilliant. And of course who can forget the many wonderful flying wishes that lit up the nite sky. It truly was unforgettable for the lovely Aurore & Adrien and for their family & friends. Hopefully these photos from their day bring back many wonderful & beautiful moments.

Canny & Calvin pre wedding photo shoot in Hong Kong

Hong Kong pre wedding / Canny & Calvin pre wedding portraits!

I am pretty terrible with updating my blog and it was pointed out to me recently I have not posted much from Hong Kong… yikes, I know…but I have been pretty busy – thankfully…

Canny & Calvin epitomize many Hong Kong couples: young, hip, successful and world travelers. Calvin is also into cars (like yours truly) and with a modified and sport tuned Mercedes that is the kind of car you dream about flooring on the autobahn. Though in Hong Kong it is a bit under utilized to say the least. Our first location is a favorite of mine: Stanley or “Chek Chue” is a tourist town East of Repulse Bay and west of Shek O. It is also a wonderful location for capturing portraits of these two along the beautiful bay and Canny really stood out with her red dress.

After a few portraits along the breaking waves we went on a short trip through the old market before heading off through the winding hills to a place to Calvin loves, a very scenic vantage point overlooking Hong Kong. The location was quite stunning with the city as a backdrop and Canny was having a great laugh as Calvin proposed to her on his knees – in front of the car of course.

As Hong Kong was especially warm that evening, we decided to head down to the waterfront near the Mandarin Oriental. Funny enough I counted about 6 or 7 other couples using this spot as a location for their pre wedding portrait and why not when you have a skyline like this? But feeling a bit crowded we walked towards what can only be described as one of the most beautiful waterfronts in the world where some of my favorite images were captured.

The cool thing about Canny & Calvin were how chilled out they were and how much fun they were on the session. Hong Kong couples tend to be quite reserved but when you encourage them to run off and do their own thing they very much come alive. But like all good things this session had to come to and end. Personally as much as I love New York I simply adore Hong Kong and have been lucky to be brought back and look forward to going back next year. But what really makes cities great are the people – and couples like Canny & Calvin make this ‘job’ all the more fun.

Prague pre wedding / Sharon & Danny Fall portraits session!

Sharon & Danny were looking for a beautiful and iconic pre wedding portrait session in Prague. When Sharon told me her session was to be held during the most beautiful part of the year I just knew this one was going to be stunning. Sharon knows Prague quite well as her work has brought her here, whereas Danny was quite unfamiliar. After looking at many recent sessions we settled on a an itinerary that not only made sure our time was well spent, but one that shows just how striking this city can be – especially with the beautiful fall foliage.

Though the sun was for the most part obscured by the clouds and fog that did not diminish the striking fall colors nor the fun these two had exploding this magical city. Danny was quite taken back when we visited one of my favorite locations overlooking Mala Strana. The peaceful location was picture perfect to simply sit back and watch the busy city down below.

Later we visited the very popular Na Plavka where there is always a queue for nice photos to be captured as this is one of the most beautiful spots showing the riverside and the Charles Bridge. But like all sessions, this one must come to an end and the famous Astronomical Clock was chosen as our final location. As you can see they quickly made new friends there.
