For Santorini photography, sunrise is almost always the superior choice, particularly in Oia. While Santorini is famous for its sunsets, sunrise offers something even more valuable for couples: peaceful streets, soft golden light, and the island almost entirely to yourselves.
By 8:00–9:00 AM during peak season, Oia’s narrow streets and iconic viewpoints begin filling with cruise ship passengers and day visitors. A sunrise session allows you to experience the village at its most serene and romantic.

Sunset & Blue Hour Sessions
Although Santorini is world-famous for its sunsets, they come with one major consideration.
Many of Oia’s famous viewpoints attract thousands of visitors every evening during peak season. While the light can be extraordinary, privacy becomes much more difficult, and you may not be able to reach the locations due to the queues. We are only successful thanks to a wonderful family who allows us to stay on the roof of their home for a small fee.
