Kurt Vinion is a Prague-based photographer who has photographed engagement and pre-wedding sessions for international couples since 2008.
Collections begin at €1,100 and range from relaxed natural-light sessions to bespoke cinematic productions. Depending on your chosen experience, sessions combine the quiet atmosphere of Prague before sunrise, considered direction, and carefully controlled lighting to create distinctive portraits in the city’s historic settings.
Quality over quantity. Every final image is individually edited, with thoughtful colour grading and careful retouching. Where appropriate, distracting modern elements can be removed while preserving the character and texture of Prague’s historic architecture.
You do not need previous experience in front of a camera. I will guide you throughout the session, helping you feel comfortable while leaving room for natural movement and genuine moments.
Choose from four collections, each offering a different balance of photography time, creative direction, and production. Additional hours, locations, and bespoke arrangements can be discussed in advance.
All collections are priced in euros. Any additional costs are explained before booking.

A natural, documentary-style session with gentle direction, for couples who want authentic images without formality. We start shortly before sunrise and follow Prague’s soft morning light through historic streets and riverside views, with few people around.

It starts in the dark hour before sunrise, so you get blue-hour portraits, the sunrise itself, and softer daylight at a second location. I use off-camera lighting when natural light is too low, which gives the images their cinematic contrast.

The Two-Chapter Story

A two-part Prague photography experience combining a cinematic pre-dawn session with a second chapter in a private garden. After the first session, take a one-hour break to change outfits before continuing at a garden such as Vrtba or Ledebour, or another agreed location.
Included:
- Up to 5 hours of photography across two sessions, with a one-hour break between them.
- Pre-dawn photography featuring blue hour, sunrise, and off-camera lighting where needed.
- A second location for a different atmosphere and look.
- Pre-shoot consultation and location planning.
- 80 curated high-resolution images with fine-art colour grading and advanced retouching.
- Sneak peeks within 24–48 hours; full gallery within 2-3 weeks.

The Elegancia Collection
€4,800
A bespoke, multi-chapter experience for couples who want full creative direction. It uses two sessions on one day: a pre-dawn session, a break, and an evening or golden-hour session. It suits couples who want several looks, interiors, or gardens that need access arrangements. One private garden access arrangement is included in the Elegancia collection.
Included:
- Up to 7 hours of photography, split into two sessions
- 5–6 locations, subject to timing, access, weather, and local conditions
- Pre-shoot planning: consultation, moodboard, itinerary, and visual direction
- Wardrobe guidance for a consistent look across the story
- Multi-point lighting where appropriate
- 100 curated, high-resolution fine-art images with individual retouching and cinematic colour grading
- Sneak peeks within 24–48 hours, full gallery within 2-3 weeks
- Personal printing and sharing rights
- Full-service hair and makeup styling for both sessions, along with arrangements for access to one private garden, are included in the collection fee. Any additional venue charges will be confirmed in advance.
Permits and travel outside Prague are quoted in advance.

Retainer: A 50% non-refundable retainer holds your date. The balance is due on the day of the session.
- Weather & Rescheduling: Light rain doesn’t necessarily mean a cancelled session. Umbrellas are provided, and a little rain can add atmosphere to your photographs. If severe weather makes photography impractical, we’ll first try to arrange a postponement, subject to availability. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we’ll pause and wait for conditions to improve where practical, or adapt the session to the conditions and available locations. Your comfort and safety remain the priority.
- Garden fees: Except for the Elegancia package — private garden entrance fees (e.g., Vrtba, Ledebour) are paid directly by the client to the venues.

Bespoke photography sessions with Kurt Vinion start at €1,100 for the Sunrise Session (offering up to 3 hours of coverage). The Signature Collection is priced at €2,250, the Two-Chapter Story is €2,950, and the ultra-luxury Elegancia Collection is €4,800. All listed prices are final and VAT-free.
How long does a Prague engagement or pre-wedding session last?
Our photography sessions last between 3 and 7 hours, depending on your chosen collection. The Sunrise Session provides up to 3 hours of coverage; the Signature Collection offers 3.5 to 4 hours; The Two-Chapter Story includes 5 hours of active shooting; and the Elegancia Collection offers up to 7 hours split into distinct morning and evening sessions.
Why do sessions start before sunrise?
We start our sessions before sunrise to ensure nearly private access to Prague’s most iconic locations, such as the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle before most tourists awake. This timing allows us to capture the rare pre-dawn blue hour, painterly morning mist, and the softest, most flattering natural light of the day.
Do we need professional posing experience before booking a session?
No, you do not need any previous posing experience. I specialize in an editorial motion technique, meaning I will provide gentle, continuous art direction and movement guidance throughout the day. This approach ensures you feel completely comfortable while allowing us to capture spontaneous, natural, and authentic moments between poses.
What happens to the photography session if it rains in Prague?

How long does it take to receive the final edited pre-wedding photos?
For the Sunrise Session, you will receive preview images within 72 hours and your full digital proofing gallery within 14 days. For the Signature, Two-Chapter Story, and Elegancia collections, high-fashion sneak peeks are delivered within 24 to 48 hours, and your online proofing gallery is usually ready for viewing within 2 to 3 weeks. The meticulously hand-retouched final gallery is then completed within three weeks after you have made your final image selections.
Can we add professional hair and makeup services to our photography collection?
Yes, professional hair and makeup services can be seamlessly added to the Sunrise, Signature, and Two-Chapter collections at the artist’s current rate. For the luxury Elegancia Collection, full-service hair and makeup styling for both individual sessions is already built into your package fee. I coordinate only with elite local artists, and all external fees are quoted clearly in advance.
Are historic garden entrance fees and location permits included in the price?
No, local venue entrance fees and garden permits (such as for the Vrtba, Wallenstein, or Ledebour Gardens) are paid directly by the client to the respective historic sites, with the exception of the Elegancia Collection. The Elegancia Collection uniquely includes one private garden access arrangement and venue permit coordination within its flat fee.

Choose the Sunrise Session if you prefer a relaxed, natural, documentary-style experience focused on soft morning light and historic architecture.
