Madi & Aaron

Aaron knew Madi was the one. She carried a southerner’s warmth, a charm, and a quiet grace that made the world feel softer whenever they were together. While he served his country, she waited for two years, and that waiting gave their reunion a gentle tenderness.

After so much time apart, Aaron knew it was time to begin the next chapter of his life with the woman he loved. Their journey to Europe — first to visit friends in Berlin — brought them to Prague, where he had planned to propose.

He told Madi they would begin with a small family portrait session on Charles Bridge after sunrise. But the bridge was too crowded, too restless.

They made their way down the Kampa steps instead

Because Aaron preferred to stay out of the spotlight, I asked Madi to step into a few solo portraits while he waited nearby in the soft morning light.

Then, in his own time, Aaron proposed. At first, she could hardly believe it. Then she understood. She said yes, and he lovingly placed the ring he had been carrying on her finger.

Moments later, the family rushed forward to gather in celebration. It was one of the most moving family moments I have witnessed.

Wallenstein Garden

The Wallenstein Garden welcomed them with its green, timeless grace. There, they laughed and celebrated together as a family — before slipping away, just the two of them, into whatever comes next.
