Michelle & Dan: Stunning Summer Wedding Photography at Vrtba Garden, Prague
Nestled in the breathtaking Vrtbovská Zahrada, with its cascading baroque terraces glowing under Prague’s golden summer light, Michelle and Dan celebrated a wedding day that felt purely magical.
This was one of my very first weddings at the Vrtba Garden, and even after shooting countless weddings since, their love story remains one of my absolute favorites.
What made their day truly extraordinary is that Michelle personally designed the full transformation of the historic Sala Terrena. Using her exceptional creative vision, she turned the space into a breathtaking floral wonderland that left artisans and guests speechless. One designer was nearly moved to tears, saying, “This is exactly how I’d envision my own garden wedding.”
Dan’s warm smile and joyful energy perfectly balanced Michelle’s radiant spirit. Together, they radiated a love that was impossible to miss. The emotion peaked during their heartfelt vows when they were pronounced husband and wife. Dan’s exuberant fist-pump and shout of joy triggered cheers echoing across the garden.
Later, they took a memorable tour of Malá Strana in the historic Bentley once owned by General Kai-shek, followed by touching speeches and a boat party on the Vltava River. As if on cue, a dramatic thunderstorm rolled in — lightning cracking across the sky while they danced wildly to live music. What could have been chaos became pure magic.
Michelle and Dan traveled from New Zealand, bringing so much warmth and life with them. Capturing their day was an absolute joy and a true highlight in my career.
A few words from the beautiful bride, Michelle
“Hire him! You won’t regret it!
His style of creative direction ensures you get fantastic results, but more importantly, you have fun during your shoot! I’ve worked with a lot of professional photographers over the years in my job and Kurt is the most personable and results-driven one I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Thank you to the moon and back Kurt!”
