Zoe & Billy — Before Prague Woke

They wanted a few elegant portraits—but not crowded or predictable backdrops. We began their story in the final quiet moments of a Prague dawn and let the city tell the rest.

Zoe and Billy wanted no part of ordinary wedding photos—stiff poses beneath dull skies, surrounded by the restless flow of tourists. Instead, they wanted something both elegant and alive: polished portraits woven together with the kind of candid joy that can’t be staged.

To find it, we chased the final hush before Prague woke. In quiet cobblestone streets and landmarks that seemed to belong only to them.

We began on an empty Charles Bridge, the sky deepening into reds and gold behind them as they walked hand in hand—her train catching the lamplight, trailing gold across the stones. It was the kind of moment that can’t quite be directed, only witnessed.

From there, we wandered down to the riverside, where they paused to watch the sky unfold across the Vltava, colour spilling over the water like silk.

As daylight arrived and warmed the morning, the story moved more slowly through the historic centre—beneath Old Town’s astronomical clock, in the sunlight streaking near the spires of Týn Church, and finally among the manicured hedges and red ivy of Vrtba Garden, where the portraits became quieter and more deliberate.

In the end, it wasn’t only the landmarks Zoe and Billy would remember. It was Prague’s rare, unhurried dawn—and the feeling of a love that never needed staging to look this beautiful.
